Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Lara Croft was one of the household names in the 90s. Alongside Mario, Lara Croft was recognised as one of the foremost videogame mascots in the world; used to sell non gaming products, appearing in magazines like FHM and posters adorning teenage boys’ walls across the world. Since those days Lara Croft has been reinvented numerous times; the smooth talking English aristocrat with a penchant for exploring dungeons has seen redesigns, makeovers and, more recently, a complete change in gameplay styles.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of light is a two player, top down, co-op action and puzzle game – and an excellent one at that. It combines clever use of classic Tomb Raider puzzles with the high intensity action that the later games brought to the table, all while allowing two friends to play simultaneously to solve puzzles and defeat bosses together. The game released across a number of platforms, so is very easy to get hold of.
